The Fire Falls At The Pentecostals Of Vacaville!

"The Fire Still Falls!"

Sorry it has taken so long to finish this post, but you know the old saying "Better Late Than Never"! It was a tremendously powerful revival! We had services Sunday through Tuesday night. We advertised in the paper whit bold letters at the top that read
"THE FIRE STILL FALLS!"
Because of that ad we had 18 1st time visitors in three services! Only two of the visitors came by another form of invitation. Let me stop right here and say that Bro. Hill did a superb job! He was totally lead of God in every service! He preached like a house of fire(which when doesn't he?LOL!), and our church fell in love with his ministry and his family. Namely a little princess named Cherish! I was willing to go on in revival, not just because the services was awesome, but that I wanted to spend more time with Cherish! If you read My wife's or Susan Hill's blog then you know that Cherish has her own "Palace" at Danda's and Uncle Tim's house! It was such a blessing to have the Hills here and cannot wait until they can come back! We would have loved too have them stay and preach the next week, and we tried every avenue possible but our schedules were to incompatible. We had at least two receive the Holy Ghost that we know of, there was healing and everything that goes with Apostolic revival and Apostolic ministry! It helped began a turning point in our church, thanks be to God!
To the Hill's we love you all and cherish our friendship, and thank you for all that you did. We anticipate your return!

Missions Conference In Santa Maria, CA

What a great time we had at Missions Conference in Santa Maria, CA. Bro. Markem and myself were the speakers for this meeting and we had a lot of fun. I had not known Bro. Markem before this conference. I had only heard about what a great man he is and the awesome things he has done on the mission field in Brazil, Spain and Portugal. Basically he built these from the ground up. What an amazing work he is doing for Jesus. Bro. Markem ministered the word to us on Friday night(he about preached everything God had given me for Saturday night), and I must say it was a timely word for us all. He preached on "Don't Be Afraid", I think everyone should listen to this message. I preached Saturday night, and then Bro. Markem preached on Sunday morning. And again he delivered a sure word about the "Qualities Of Gold", what a beautiful message! Then Sunday night I finished it up.
The purpose of Missions Conference is to get us focused on the "Great Commission" of reaching the world. Another goal of the meeting is to raise money to finance the propagation of the Gospel worldwide by sending missionaries, building churches, getting food to the poor, buying necessities for the churches both at home in America and overseas. I'm humbled to report to you that on Sunday night(just a little news flash- Santa Maria is one of the most giving est churches I've ever seen and God blesses them for it) the church in Santa Maria, CA Pastored by Elder Rick Keyes gave well over $125,000 for missions! Praise God! We also had a few people receive the Holy Ghost, and some backsliders were refilled!
My wife and I love to go to Santa Maria, it's like our other home. You won't find any better people than Bro. & Sis. Keyes, they are the BEST! We affectionately call them "Mom & Pop Keyes", and the reason for that is because for years now I've been very close to them, and after Andrea and I got married she felt the same way too. Bro. Keyes was was one of the two ministers(Bro. Price the second) who married us. Now, when we get to Santa Maria and walk in the door we let all cares pass away, let our hair down and just have a lot of fun! So, to be with Bro. Markem(who just fits right in the way we do) and the Keyes at the same time for one weekend under one roof, it was awesome!
Remember, give to missions both Home, and Foreign!

Revival With Pastor Steve Pixler

This past week (January 21st & 22nd) we were blessed to have Pastor Steve Pixler in revival services with us. It was tremendous(did you expect anything less?)! To set the back drop for this posting, I'll give a little history. I met Bro. Pixler about six years ago at a pastoral installation service in Texarkana, TX for Pastor Jason Calhoun. A few weeks later I was catching a Saturday night red eye flight from San Fransisco, CA to Dallas, TX to preach that Sunday morning for Bro. Pixler. Well, I got in at about 6 a.m. and went straight to the hotel got a nap and went to Sunday morning service. It was in his office there at his church in Fort Worth, TX that I really got to meet him more personally. There are many good things I could say about Bro. Pixler, but I'll first start off by saying this, he is one of the most sincere Christians that I've ever met. In the six or so years that I've had the privilege of being friends with him, I have never, ever heard him say an unkind word to, or about anyone no matter what the situation(and believe me there were times when he could have)!

But that morning I walked out of the office and into the sanctuary and the place was full of people worshipping God, and I mean almost everyone was. I'll never forget how that at least eighty to ninety percent of his church was praising God with everything they had! I'm still impressed! Cornerstone Apostolic Church in Fort Worth, TX had an impact on me, because not all churches are like this. I've evangelized for close to ten years and I can tell you, when you find a church like this (and when I did find a churches like this, I marked them in my mind, so that if ever God wanted me to pastor I would know where to look for an example of a revival church) you want the influence of their pastor to help take your church to the next level. So, service went on and when it was time for the preaching, I just thought I'd seen them worship, but as I began to preach they lit that place up with worship! Well, that service was so great(all glory to God!)then afterword Bro. Pixler asked if I could stay that night and preach again, so I did. And that service was awesome, so he asked "can you stay and preach tomorrow night", and I did. So, we had an impromptu revival(those are usually the best) for several nights straight with no breaks, God really moved in those services! One night half the church took off running and dancing through the side and back doors out onto the parking lot still dancing, again Jesus was mighty in that place! Several were healed and received the Holy Ghost in that revival, backsliders came back to God, it was beautiful.

So, a year ago when we took the church here in Vacaville, CA there was no doubt in my mind that at some point we were going to have Bro. Pixler. I wanted him to come and let his spirit and anointing rub off on our church. Besides having one of, if not the greatest mind in the Apostolic movement today, he is one of the best singers, song writers, and pianist. It was such a treat to get to hear him play and sing. I call him "The Frank Sinatra of Pentecost"( and I mean that respectfully), and if you have heard him then you know what I mean. Our church loved his singing so much they complained to me that he only sang three songs the first night. I thought that was great so the next night he did more. I will leave a link at the bottom of the page to his web site.

Let me tell you, he preached two of the most needed messages a church could ever hear! Bro. Pixler flowed in the spirit both nights and we left those services with a changed perception of revival, prayer, and our inheritance. There is no need for me to even try to convey what he preached, because I would not do it justice. I looked out over the church while he was preaching and people had their pens in hand ready to take notes, but as he delivered God's word they were to captivated to write many if any notes(including me). I thank God for what he did in those services, only time will tell the full effect. You cannot measure the move of God or the work of God by instant responses(and there was great response), because the full effect cannot be felt or even seen in jest a few services. And I feel a lot of times we try very hard to make the full effect known immediately, but it is impossible.

I'm very grateful to Bro. Pixler for coming and blessing us and we look forward to his return in April. In the month of February we have another great preacher and dear friend coming to preach a revival for us, Pastor Stephen Hill. We are looking for God to do great and mighty things then also.

In the mean time were still in revival. God's spirit is still flowing, visitors are at almost every service, and the church is praying!

"The Comfort In HITTING BOTTOM!!!"

Did that get your attention(the title)? Well, I'm sure that in some way it snagged your curiosity. First, let me say that I'm not writing this because this is where I am, but that I feel inspired to do so. Although you should know, I have been there a few times. Put it this way, I am acquainted enough with "Hitting Bottom" in my life that I am very comfortable in talking about it(and doing so with some level expertise). Be it mental, spiritual, or physical I can safely say "BEEN THERE"! People reading this that know me in some way can vouch for this. Now, I'm not a whiner, and whining will get you nowhere, so don't feel this is a whine session. As you'll soon find out it is the opposite!
So, what is so great about hitting bottom, you ask. Well, let me show you a few points that I feel God and life has reveled to me.

1.}
When you hit bottom the first thing you feel is the PAIN of hitting bottom! Like it or not, PAIN is still a sign of LIFE! The first thing you need to realize is that no matter how hard the hit, or how far the fall, the reason and causes of the fall, be it of you own accord or a vicious and sudden hit it's all "IRRELEVANT" at the point of impact! Recovery will come in good time. The word of God says in Micah 7:8 "...When I FALL, I shall ARISE...", it may not feel like it now, but if you'll be patient you WILL get up!
Now, at the point of impact when it hurts more than words can describe, right there in that instant is hope reveled. If you felt the PAIN guess what...YOUR STILL ALIVE! And no matter what, that revelation is the beginning of your uprising. Dead people can't get up, but YOU CAN! The PAIN is your assurance, or comfort if you please. Be comforted in your PAIN, because that is sometime your only reality; that I am alive, and if I'm alive there is STILL hope for me. As crazy as this sounds: "do not whine or complain about why it happen or how bad it hurts, but be comforted in the pain". Jesus said to Paul in II Corinthians 12:9 "...My grace is sufficient...", turn your PAIN into possibility!!! I'm certain that right now some of you are reading this and thinking "what a bunch of shallow one liners, and advice. This stuff sounds good, but that's it, there's no real substance behind the sounds!" Time does not permit me now, but later I'll write and give you a small glimpse of some of the worst times ever in my life, like: dying 3 times, doctors told me I'd NEVER walk again, major depression, and other stuff. Not right now because it takes too long, but for all of you that know me can leave a comment as a witness that I've been through a few things(especially those of you who where there, and thanks). Remember, PAIN is PROGRESS, and it is the affirmation of LIFE(that there is still a chance!)!!!

Let me interject this here before going on. God does not just use blessings, healing, miracles, goose bumps and other "feel good stuff". Sometimes, not always or even often but sometimes, he uses PAIN to get us closer to him! To strengthen our faith in Him, or for what ever He deems fit. Also, let me add(please get this) PAIN is NOT always PUNISHMENT!!! (You can breathe a sigh of relief now, God is NOT mad at you!) Again, PAIN is NOT always PUNISHMENT!

2.}
Now this step is important to grasp(they all are, really). Falling is not always a bad thing! That's right I said it(I'm not speaking of fall as in sin here). Actually a fall can be a very beneficial thing:
a. It makes you tougher
b. You learn your limits
c. It can keep humble
d. Your learn to trust in God
e. To get up from a fall you learn to accept and appreciate the helping hands reaching down(and that, you can't always do it all by yourself!)
f. You'll find out who are your real friends and who really cares for you
g. You find out, your not as invincible as you may think that you are
h. You can't learn to walk with out falling
i. And finally; once you hit bottom... that's as far down as you can go, or you wouldn't have "HIT BOTTOM"
Believe it or not, there IS a correct way to fall(stop laughing, I'm serious). You see you can learn just as much falling or hitting bottom than you can from walking, or the mountain top. Often you can learn more! See, most people when they hit bottom the fall right into there problem rather than falling into there solution! What you must learn from falling is WHERE to fall. I know what your thinking, "how can you possibly have control of where you fall?" Let me be completely honest; I will not be able to adequately describe it in explicit detail. Sometimes it can't be spelled out, it must be lived(I hope that makes sense)! Let me give an example of falling, the way most do. The bills are piling up: house payment, car payment, heath and auto insurance, light bill, water bill, electric bill(boy this is starting to get depressing,LOL) groceries, gas for the cars, well you get the point. So now, not only are the bills piling up, your hours or your salary gets cut, the amount of the bills are rapidly becoming more than the amount of money that's coming in(thus the title "income", thought you might enjoy that), so what do most people do? They turn or "fall" to credit cards instead of changing their life style of Starbucks, restaurants, gadgets, etc. they just use (or fall into) credit cards, paying only the minimum on them each month, to try and bail themselves out. Now, we all know how this will turn them out, flat on their backs. Thus, falling the wrong way! By the way this is not a posting about finances.
So, when the time comes, and when the fall happens, because it will! Fall into God! Proverbs 3:5-6 said it best "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
The words "lean not" literally means to "fall back on", so Solomon(the wisest man ever) said in essence "don't fall back onto your own understanding... fall into Him!"
When you fall, fall into Jesus! And when you learn to do this, you have then fallen correctly, and it is very beneficial!

3.} Lastly, and I'll try to keep this part as brief as I can, because it really needs no expounding, even though I could for a long time(and want to, but I don't like typing!) So, here it is the main point of posting: "The Comfort In Hitting Bottom"
Probably the most powerful revelation of hitting bottom is... THAT'S IT!!! You hit bottom, as low as you could go, Hell tried it's best, life took it's best shot thus far... you hit bottom, and guess what? YOUR STILL HERE!!! Are you hearing me you, have at the very least SURVIVED!!! So, this you know above all so far I got knock down with their BEST shot and I'm still alive!!! I maybe hurting, bleeding, broken, limping, crawling, or crying BUT I'M STILL BREATHING!!! And where there is still life, there is still HOPE for recovery!
Job took the worst beating by Satan ever known to mankind. Job lost everything(you know the story), he was so sick, and agonizing so bad, that out of an act of love, compassion, and desperation his wife asked him to just curse God and die, to just end the torment and suffering that Job was living in. And with all Satan did, with all Satan threw at Job(and he threw it all, the best he had!). After being hit with all Satan had, and knocked down, and HITTING BOTTOM, guess what happened to Job? JOB... SURVIVED!!! He survived the worst satanic attack ever known, and he did it by knowing how and where to "Hit Bottom", or fall. And Job didn't just "survive" JOB WON! Because Job knew where to FALL, the second half of his life was twice blessed! The bible then says in Job 24:10 "....the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before." Also scripture says of Job two verse's later (Job 42:12) "So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning..."

When you HIT BOTTOM, take a deep breath, and as your taking that deep breath and the PAIN is excruciating...Take comfort! Because, they hit you with their best shot...You FELL as far as they could push you, but the PAIN you feel is your COMFORT, to say... "I HAVE SURVIVED !!!"

This is a snippet of a message God gave me while I was going through the ordeal of my wreck. This was not a sermon given from God but a life message I had to live. Some reading this post have probably heard me preach this sometime over the last 7 1/2 years. God has urged and allowed me to preach this all over the country and other parts of the world(I say this with the utmost humility). The Title of this message is "The Revelation of Jobs Fight".

I felt really impressed of the Lord to post this little portion of it, which is very unusual. As you read through my other post's you will see they are of a totally different nature. I don't say it lightly that I felt impressed to post this, I just don't post stuff like this on the Internet.

If you feel at all that this has help, inspired, or uplifted you, or maybe you feel like this was a word for you, please leave a comment, or testimony, so that others can be blessed by your testimony!

Thank you & God Bless

VOTE YES ON PROP 8!!!

Let me start out by saying, I do not intend to offend anyone, but I must say what is on my heart! We are 4 short days away from the most important election of our life so far. I hope you are registered and aware of the issues. If you are not, I will point out a VERY important issues to vote on.
Vote YES on Prop 8! If you call yourself any type of Christian or moral person you will vote YES on Prop 8!(BTW this is a prop vote for Cali only, but if anywhere else please PRAY for us that it WILL PASS!!) Prop 8 will settle the issue of gay marriage once and for all in our wonderful state, by amending our constitution to DEFINE marriage as between 1 man and 1 woman. Back in 2000 we voted by a 64% majority to BANN same sex marriage. That should have settled it right? WRONG! The will of the people was overturned by judges who act as dictators, ignoring the will of the people and enforcing their own RADICAL, GODLESS, and LEFTIST ideology upon us. What is so scary about this is that these judges are not voted in and can NEVER be VOTED OUT! They are given LIFETIME appointments by presidents(these are Carter and Clinton appointees) who often hold the same interpretation of the constitution and of law. Most of these justices are radical leftist, Marxist and socialist produced by the 1960's extreme anti-war, and antigovernment movement promoted by leftist pro-communist professors and colleges, who flew the flag of our enemies at a time of war! Who supported the communist enemy in every way imaginable. They called for our soldiers to die for war crimes they did not commit, called our soldiers "murderers", "crazies", and "baby killers". They were(and are) admitted anarchist, and very ANTI-AMERICA. They desecrated our flag by burning it or urinating on it! These are some of the justices presiding today and making up these radical interpretations of our laws. They would love to see our armed forces disbanded, our gun right's taken from us and turn us into a European socialist country like France, or Switzerland.
If Prop 8 fails, our children will be forced to PARTICIPATE in "gay day's"(currently scheduled for April 29 called Harvey Milk Day, Harvey was a gay activist in S.F.) in our public schools. Boys and girls from Kindergarten up will be force to have mock "same sex weddings", and to "play house" with two daddy's or mommies! Also, pastors will be forced to perform same sex weddings(a failure to do so will result in the loss of the churches 501c3 tax exempt status due to "discrimination"), not deny membership rights, and finally we will not be able to publicly declare homosexuality "sin" or "wrong" without the risk of lawsuits, fines, loss of tax exempt status, or imprisonment! So, if prop 8 fails we lose RELIGOUS FREEDOM, PARENTIAL RIGHTS, and THE SANTITY OF MARRIGE!!!
So, VOTE YES ON 8!!! If you do not live in our state please pray for us!!!
My other blog covers this but I'll throw it in right here. If you call yourself a Christian and vote for a candidate who is for gay marriage, then please don't call yourself a Christian. Don't be so star struck by Obama that you fail to realize, he is NOT Christian at all!

" The Sting of Truth"

" The sting in any rebuke is TRUTH."
- Benjamin Franklin

I can almost hear it now "Oh no, here is another rookie blogger along with the millions of others who thinks that he or she is going to enlighten us all with the profound wisdom of the ages. So great the intellect that if all the world could just read this we would all stagger with amazement at this newly discovered genius with utterances so profound, that we should make him the leader of the free world!." If this is what your thinking well, that's who I am, the voice of wisdom you've all been seeking! LOL! I'm hardly that at all, really I'm just here writing and calling it as I see it. I must warn you, though I'll never intentionally seek too offend anyone, it may happen. Thus, the reason for this blog "The Sting Of Truth".

You must understand it isn't my particular views or beliefs that might sting, but rather the TRUTH of it will. I have come to understand that there is a great and profound paradox to TRUTH. For example, TRUTH in a courtroom will liberate one man while simultaneously incarcerating the other. Yes, depending on which side of TRUTH your on will totally determine your response to it.

If your on the right side of TRUTH, you'll love it, but on the wrong side of it and you'll hate it. Appreciate it or appalled by it, enlightened because of it or exposed by it, embrace it or reject it, be sheltered in it or shatter by it, TRUTH will cause a reaction in us all, for better or for worse. There is no grey area in TRUTH, it is black or white. TRUTH is not moved by feelings, nor does TRUTH change because of opinion. TRUTH does not seek to be popular, it just is what it is and will not apologize for that. TRUTH will not change for acceptance, but rather you must change to accept TRUTH. The wonderful thing about TRUTH is that it is not racist, partial, or bigoted it is the same to each and to everyone of us. TRUTH is absolute even though this generation is taught that there are no absolutes, and what's true for one may not be true for others. We must realize that what is true for one is TRUTH for all!

So, from now on when you read my entrees, read them through this prism, that I seek for truth in any situation. I'm looking for the absolute in every event. I hope you'll find the TRUTH in all the issues I may choose to write about, because I am. Remember what Jesus says in John 8:32 " And ye shall know the TRUTH, and the TRUTH shall make you free"

Hurry Up, and Slow Down!!!

I must start out by saying that I do appreciate all of today's modern conveniences. Quick food, fast cars, planes, etc., etc., you get my drift. Technology has in many ways made our lives a lot easier, but the TRUTH is that at the rate of speed we must live to just keep up with it all it's really not worth it. TRUTHFULLY. Now, I love my air conditioned car, and home, my flushing toilet, electric lights and my lap top. So don't get the impression that I'm ready to go back to the hills and live like I was in the 19th century. This is my point: for all the good it seems to do... well, it's not so good. In today's society we do not live, oh no... we barely exist, surviving is more like it. We have more quantity in our lives but far too little quality of life. Most of us are so driven by the pressures of "keeping up", so narrow minded, that our tunnel vision has cost us, and caused to miss the most important things in life.... those closest to you! Now, before I go there, I want to make this very clear we live in the greatest country in the world,(if you don't feel that way...LEAVE)God has so richly blessed us! To prove my point, try this today or tomorrow, whether you driving BMW gliding down the road, or a Pinto popping and smoking down the highway, find a safe place to pull over and for just two minutes(that's just 120 seconds) get out of you car take a deep breath and clear your mind, then just look around. Not with cynicism, or finding the blemishes in your immediate surroundings, SLOW DOWN and just look around.
Breathe deep, and smell the air, feel the wind embrace your face, bend down and smell a wild flower if one is around. Then tilt your head back look up to the sky and remember life is a gift, a short span of time in which we are allowed to exist. SLOW DOWN! Stop rushing, your bills will still be waiting when your done(although the may now have a little less importance), your job won't disappear, and if you lose money in those two minutes you'll make it back. I have a saying(you can borrow it) "I'd rather have my money wasted, rather than my time, because money can be regained, but my time can never be payed back!" SLOW DOWN! Take some time to enjoy life even if it's only a few minutes a day. You'll be surprised how small problems are in the back drop of a blue sky.
Don't wast your time on things that will eventually have no lasting value. Another saying of mine is "to waste time is to bruise eternity", smell the roses, smile more than you frown, laugh more than you cry, and try and find something positive in everyone, and every situation! In your "fast lane" life, you'll miss those very few precious years of your children growing up. SLOW DOWN, listen to their stories that may have no point, hug them every chance you get, just stop and listen to them laugh(it can really put things back into perspective), because if we can't laugh every day, how miserable will we be? SLOW DOWN, take time to hold the one you love and without a camera make a moment every day. For all those you love, SLOW DOWN and compliment more than criticize. Try this, every day look at your spouse, or child(your closest loved ones) and find a NEW quality about them that is wonderful, and then share it with them(write it down also) everyday. Look at them and then listen to them breathe, hear what they say. Make a memory of their touch, laugh, aroma, or eyes, and the next time life gets too hard... get out of that car or walk away from the stress for just a few moments and relive those memories. Then go home and make new ones. SLOW DOWN!!! You are more blessed than you realize. Make it your life's goal that right before the time comes to meet our maker, you will have no regrets. SLOW DOWN, do the speed limit(in the far right hand lane,LOL) and look around at this beautiful world, God gave it to us... so enjoy!
Remember, YOU run your life, and don't let LIFE run you! SLOW DOWN! If God has been able to sustain this entire earth for millions of years, guess what.... He will take care of us all! Just SLOW DOWN and let life unfold in it's ordained time, because you can't change what has already happened(trust me I've tried), and can only follow the plans He has for you. God walked with Adam, why because God enjoyed His time with Adam, and there was no rush.... (I hope I'm making sense) what I'm trying to say is don't go too fast and get ahead of God just SLOW DOWN and walk with him!
